Johannesburg – Dwayne Johnson has paid respects to his late father, WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Rocky Johnson, through an Instagram post, saying that he is “in pain” from the tremendous loss.
Rocky, real name Wayde Bowles, died on Wednesday at the age of 75.
On Friday, Dwayne posted a clip of his father during his pro wrestling days. The video show’s Rocky Johnson in a tag-team match, while a young Dwayne sits in the audience and watches in admiration.
“I love you. You broke barriers, became a ring legend and trail blazed your way thru this world. I was the boy sitting in the seats, watching and adoring you, my hero from afar (sic),” the post reads.
The Jumanji: The Next Level actor expressed his heartbreak further on in the message.
“Dad, I wish I had one more shot to tell you, I love you, before you crossed over to the other side. But you were ripped away from me so fast without warning. Gone in an instant and no coming back. Im in pain (sic),” he wrote.
